Manufacturing brief
Start with an end use or a useful project description. Add composition constraints, finished dimensions, reference revision, quantity and sample requirements. Unknown fields remain questions rather than invented values. The exported brief is in English and preserves buyer-entered values.
Specification sheet
Keep buyer target, factory-confirmed value, method, tolerance and revision in separate fields. A confirmed entry needs an identified confirmation source. A linear-weight conversion requires a positive stated width basis and retains the original value.
Approval checklist
Review development reference, colour sample, sample metreage, production standard and bulk inspection separately. Record sample identity, reviewer, reviewed scope and open points. Buyer-reviewed status does not mean factory approval.
Quote comparison
Keep up to three proposals with original currencies and units. Identify total and usable width, quantity conditions and fees. Unknown costs remain open. The tool does not rank currencies, assume an exchange rate or choose a winner.
Keep and share the record
Copy, download TXT or CSV, or print. Saved drafts include only explicitly saved structured non-sensitive fields; contacts and free-text notes are excluded. Clear draft removes the working and saved records. Email and WhatsApp open your application so you can review and send.
Use one tool for the current decision
Start with the manufacturing brief when the request is scattered across messages. Move to the specification sheet when you need to distinguish targets and confirmed values. Use the approval tracker when reviewers have accepted different attributes or sample stages. Use quote comparison when the proposal units or scope differ.
You do not need to complete every worksheet for every inquiry. Choose the record that closes the actual gap, keep the article and revision consistent and retain the supporting evidence outside the tool where appropriate.
Keep a browser worksheet’s status clear
Typed values are your working entries. The tool does not verify a factory response, assess a test report or authorise an order. Add confirmation references where the record calls for them and keep unknowns visibly open.
Saving a draft stores structured non-sensitive project fields on the current browser; contact details and free-text notes are excluded. A downloaded record is a separate file on your device. Review it before sharing and manage exported files separately from the browser draft.
Illustrative tool sequence for a revised fabric
Imagine a new finished sample changes the usable width. Update the specification record, ask the garment team to review consumption and use the approval tracker to record the affected decision. Then revisit the quote comparison on the confirmed basis.
This hypothetical sequence follows one actual change rather than duplicating all project information indiscriminately. Keep the original proposal and sample references so the exported records explain what changed and why.
Share a reviewed record with the responsible party
Copy the result or download TXT or CSV as offered by the tool. Email and WhatsApp buttons open your application with a prepared message; review the recipient and content there before sending. Long records can be downloaded and attached.
Official Fred Textile links open a separate tab so you can review collections or contact context while keeping the working draft available. A shared worksheet begins a clarification or approval conversation; it does not replace the actual technical and commercial confirmation.
Prepare the next decision
| Input | Decision to make | Record to keep |
|---|---|---|
| Brief | End use or description | English enquiry record |
| Specification | Target and confirmation source | Versioned sheet |
| Approvals | Separate sample stages | Buyer worksheet |
| Quotes | Original scope and units | Three-proposal comparison |
| Sharing | Review before sending | Copy, file or print |
Questions for this stage
Do the tools send a form to a receiver?
No. They prepare local records and open communication applications. You send the final message yourself.
Are contacts saved by default?
No. Contact details and free-text notes stay in the current session and are excluded from saved drafts.
Can I use the tools with incomplete data?
Yes. Meet the brief’s minimum end-use or description requirement and keep unknown fields open.
Will these tools submit my project automatically?
No. They prepare records in the browser. You review and send any message in your own email or WhatsApp application.
Which worksheet should I use first?
Choose the one that answers the current problem. Use a brief for a new request, a specification sheet for value confirmation, an approval tracker for sample decisions and quote comparison for proposal differences.
